Student Academy of Audiology: Another successful screening

This past Saturday, November 12, 2011 SAA participated in a Lions Club health at the Greater Philadelphia Overseas Chinese Association. We screened over 40 patients in the span of three hours. Much thanks to our SAA members Diya Guo, Megan Piekosz, and Dana McAdams for their participation. Also, a special thank you our preceptor Dr. Hajdinaj.

The Salus Uinversity Chapter of SAA was also recognized by Lions Club for its continual support of Lion's Club Health Screenings throughout the year.

Thank you for taking the time to visit the OCA at Salus University chapter of SAA website! We are excited to be working with you in building our knowledge within our field outside of our didactic work during school days.

AAA describes SAA as an organization that "..introduces students to lifelong involvement in activities that promote and advance the profession of audiology, and provides services, information, education, representation and advocacy for the profession and the public we serve." The OCA chapter follows this description through out the year. The students in this chapter have been involved in community screenings, raising money during the "walk for hearing"and "the battle of the senses" events, and educational luncheons lead by leaders within our field. OCA chapter encourages a habit of networking within the field and therefore provides some financial assistance in attending the Audiology Now! conference each year.

This website was created to have a new avenue of communicating with each other. We will keep you informed on the exciting new things we will be starting up this year and we hope you will be involved as well!
